ROLLER NORMIC

The Normic Rollers, handcrafted and made with the new corrosion-resistant anodized aluminium alloy, are even more elastic and resistant. The main feature is the self-return, which facilitates the return of the fishing rod to position. The particular shape prevents the thread (be it nylon or braid) from getting stuck and always sliding freely. The stainless steel micro ball bearings are protected by a patented Teflon seal and a layer of special grease that prevents any penetration of water inside the roller, ensuring smoothness and reliability over time.

Creation of Rollers for Normic Fishing Rods

Normic roller skates are made using a technique developed by CEO Michele Nodari 20 years ago. They are worked, one at a time, completely by hand with meticulous attention to detail. The prevailing material in the Normic roller is a composite aluminum alloy, with one part of anticorodal and another part of avional.

The roller is cut from the custom Normic profile, according to the size and the librage that the fishing rod must have. Immediately afterwards, they are milled by hand and checked in every detail. During the working process they are bent, reamed and brought to the calibre and then, finally, hand file all the internal loops, remove the sharp edge and be tumbled, polished and anodized.

The main reason for this meticulous control and attention to detail is the phase after the creation of the frame, the assembly phase.

During the assembly phase, the pin is assembled with the Teflon bearing and cheek to make it waterproof. Waterproofness is ensured by the zinc grease with which the bearing is inserted into the frame. Everything is assembled and calibrated by hand, to ensure the perfection of each piece.

The material of which the roll is composed is 316L steel, a particular metal immune to corrosion. While the ball bearing, which is found to have an incredible smoothness, is composed of a Japanese 430AISI stainless tempered steel.

The peculiarity of these rollerballs, which we can consider eternal, is their elastic composition that helps the barrel in the action of return.

Two different models of Normic roller are created

• Speedy 1 - The version for fishing rods with low liberage;
• Speedy 2 - The version for fishing rods with higher lobes.

A tip for roller maintenance: every 5 washes of the fishing rod spray a little oil spray on the roller, so as to combat the salt that could deposit at the top.

The PUNTALE that is mounted at the end of the fishing rod is composed of a very strong aluminum with a part of Anticorodal 6082 and another part of avional. In addition, there is the possibility to mount also the titanium tip. These highly resistant materials ensure stability and precision when passing the wire, even outside when the fishing rod is working laterally.
